“Art has always been my language.”
From childhood sketches and sculptures to handcrafted leather art today — RADI is the story of my journey, stitched into every piece.
My Journey
Since I was a kid, I’ve loved making things—painting, sculpting, carving—anything that turned imagination into something real. Art has always been my way of speaking without words.
I studied IT and later worked at a world’s leading advertising firm, where I learned how design connects emotion and purpose. Still, I wanted to build something more personal—something I could carry with my own hands.
I discovered leather crafting at the National Craft Council of Sri Lanka, and it changed my path. I began mixing traditional handwork with my artistic approach and realised it wasn’t just about making objects—it was about creating pieces that tell a story.
Recognition
My Leather Box Bag became a turning point—it won a national design award and was honoured among Sri Lanka’s Top 100 Exportable Products. Those moments affirmed what I believe: timeless design is built by hand, with patience and purpose.
